Independent Laboratory Testing

All of our products are tested for strict adherence to microbiological standards before they are released for sale. We utilize the services of outside independent laboratories to assure you that our results are fair and unbiased. 

 

Certificates of Analysis

For every order that is shipped there is a certificate of analysis that is either faxed or emailed prior to shipment upon customer request. This certificate includes both our physical testing (to make sure that variables such as brix and pH are within the range of specification), and microbiological results as determined by an accredited independent testing laboratory to assure that the product is safe and meets all customer specifications.

Kosher Certificates

Our products are kosher certified by the Orthodox Union, documentation is available upon request.

 

Organic Certification (CCOF)

We sell both organic and conventional products. All organic documentation is available upon request.

HACCP

Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) is a common sense approach to control food safety hazards. It is a preventive system of hazard control rather than a reactive one. It is designed to minimize the risk of food safety hazards to our customers. HACCP is not a standalone program, but is one part of a larger system of control perquisites procedures that takes place in order for HACCP to function effectively.

Sanitation

The success of our Sanitation program depends upon both California Dried Fruit, Inc.'s Sanitarians and Management Leadership. Management’s main focus is to motivate and train employees on proper procedures sanitation and food safety to reduce the risk of food borne concerns for purees and butters that are processed at California Dried Fruit. Education and training is the main focus for sanitation and food safety with management’s strong commitment.

Country Of Origin Letter

There is a country of origin letter available for all product sold by California Dried Fruit, Inc.

Letter of Guarantee

California Dried Fruit will provide you with a Letter of Guarantee specifying the product’s approval from the FDA or Code of Federal Regulations; guaranteeing conformance with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and the Food Additives Amendment

 

Allergen Statements

California Dried Fruit maintains control over the possible contact of our products with most common allergens as required by our customers. We can provide a letter stating which, if any, allergens our products may contain or with which our products might have had contact.

 

GMO Statements

California Dried Fruit can provide certification that our products are free of Genetically Modified Organisms.

 

Recall Program

California Dried Fruit maintains a recall program as specified by the FDA and the Bioterrorism Act. All of our products and all of their components are traceable from origin through distribution. A plan to contact anyone who is storing, or has purchased those items is in place. If you have changed your contact details for this type of emergency, please notify us.

 

Packaging Regulations

California Dried Fruit products are labeled to conform to all appropriate standards including ingredient statement, net weight statement, country of origin, lot number, etc.
